Evidence of The Disbelief of Philosophers by Imam Ghazali (505 AH – 1111 AD)

Farabi and Ibn sinna as examples

Abstract

The title of this scientific research includes several philosophical issues in which the philosophers before Ghazali were wrong, especially in the issue of the antiquity of the universe and the issue of science and God is aware of all and is unaware of unity, and resurrection of body. I have presented here Ghazali's discussion for these issues, how Ghazali answered the philosophers on twenty issues, blasphemed them on three issues, misled them on seventeen issues, and attacked them and answered them point by point

  According to philosophical researchers, these answers were a deadly blow that Ghazali dealt to Islamic philosophy. Later, Ibn Rushd tried to prevent this attack and wrote the book Tahaft al-Tahaft, in which he responded to Ghazali point by point and rebuked him

Because Ghazali took Aristotle's philosophy directly from Farabi and Ibn Sina and did not go back to the main source of Aristotle's philosophy. Ghazali repeated the same mistakes of Farabi and Avicenna, while these two philosophers had misinterpreted and misunderstood Aristotle's philosophy.

  In general, in addition to an abstract in Kurdish and English, my research consists of an introduction, conclusions, and a list of sources, and four main themes organized as follows:

- The first theme: Ghazali's method of rejecting philosophers

- The second theme / the issue of the antiquity of universe

- The third them / the issue of God's knowledge of universality and ignorance of unity

- The fourth topic / the issue of resurrection of the body
