Alienation in Bachtyar Ali’s Novel (The Angel’s Ship)

Abstract

 In this study which is entitled ‘Alienation in Bachtyar Ali’s Novel (The Angel’s Ship), we have tried to illustrate human alienation through examples in the novel, as a phenomenon in life, everyone will face Alienation depending on the level of their education and environment. Sometimes, human beings in their life will appear as a bastard in their environment and become strangers in themselves. Alienation is a condition in which humans feel wretched and incapable of changing their life conditions.  In other words, humans feel sad and doubt in their relationship with others. This is what they feel by some internal and external factors. From this perspective, the study attempts to talk about the Alienation of the characters in the novel, From the perspective of the characters in the novel, the novelist has looked at the problem of alienation among the Kurdish individual because of the impact that the past armed revolutions have left on the Kurdish individual. The research was conducted under the method of ‘Analytical Praise.’  

   The study consists of two parts, the first one includes two sections. In the first section, the terms and the definitions of Alienation are explained. In the second section, the types of Alienation are illustrated. Also, the second part consists of two sections, the first section shows the summary of the novel. The last section sheds light on the Alienation of the characters in the novel.
