Reviewer Guidelines
Raparin Journal of Humanities (RJH)
RJH relies on expert reviewers to maintain the quality, integrity, and academic rigor of its publications. Reviewers help evaluate manuscripts and provide constructive feedback to authors.
Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
-
Evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide clear, constructive feedback.
-
Assess originality, methodology, clarity, significance, and relevance.
-
Ensure manuscripts follow RJH formatting, referencing, and ethical standards.
-
Identify potential ethical issues such as plagiarism or conflicts of interest.
-
Complete reviews within the assigned timeframe.
-
Base evaluations on evidence from the literature; personal criticism of the authors is inappropriate.
-
Ensure reviews are free of gender, racial, political, or ethnic biases.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts are confidential. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use any content from the manuscript for personal, professional, or academic advantage.
Conflict of Interest
Reviewers should decline invitations if any real or perceived conflicts exist, such as:
-
Personal, professional, or financial relationships with the authors.
-
Competing research or collaborations that could bias the review.
Ethical Standards
Reviewers must:
-
Provide honest, fair, and respectful evaluations.
-
Avoid unprofessional or discriminatory language.
-
Report suspected plagiarism, fabrication, or other misconduct to the Editor-in-Chief.
Peer Review Process
RJH uses a double-blind review system: reviewer identities remain anonymous, and authors’ identities are concealed. Reviewers provide recommendations, including:
-
Accept
-
Minor revision
-
Major revision
-
Reject
Feedback Guidelines
Good reviews:

-
Are concise, professional, and constructive.
-
Are based on evidence rather than personal opinions.
