This study is about "Cotton Mather and his role in the advancement of science in the settlements of the United States from 1663-1728." This scientific research topic is one of the most important and sensitive in the modern history of the United States because it is associated with the role and influence of one of the most prominent scientists and a well-known Puritan clergyman. In the field of science in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries, who emerged as a brilliant scientist, who published a number of scientific works and made great scientific inventions, which had been impossible during his time. His scientific efforts had a potential influence on historical events in the majority of settlements in the United States. From this point of view, the researcher has tried to analyze this important and complex subject by making use of original historical sources and accurate scientific information regarding scientific and historical events. Aligned with this, the importance and scientific value of this research are known from a solid conclusion, which is: Cotton has properly benefited from the circumstances and conditions the settlements have passed through and tried to use religion to support scientific research and innovation. His approach and work outcomes made him distinguished from other scholars during his time. In addition to his scientific inventions that led to the discovery of new medical treatments that saved thousands of lives in the settlements, his articles, writings, and books became the main source of informing the people about the New World and expanding the field of science and the development of scientific research in the English settlements in America.
