Abstract

The purpose of the study is to understand the barriers to university professors' ability to conduct scientific research on an economic, administrative, personal, health, and safety level. Knowing the statistical relationship between the research variables and the theories used in this study, it was (the theory of human needs and describing the motives that drive him) with (the personal theory of human needs as the motivation that drives him to achieve). Because this research is quantitative, it relied heavily on the analytical descriptive approach, with the social survey approaches. The questionnaire form was chosen as the type of tools and method for gathering information, and it was distributed to (34) university professors in the two faculties of education using Koya University as an example. This was done in order to determine the quality of the sample. In the end, the most significant research findings were identified from the field side, and that the majority of the teaching staff from both categories held the scientific titles of professor or assistant professor, with their percentage reaching professor (41.2%), which was followed by the degree of professor. In regards to the research's focus on the existence of constraints, it was evident from the findings that the percentage of economic constraints came with the highest percentage, including the delay in the date of salaries for their duration, and that this was followed by responses about the existence of health, safety, and administrative constraints, which came by (44.2%), providing evidence of the existence of constraints on average. Additionally, it was determined that political parties' interference in university affairs reached (67.6%) degrees, that there are personal obstacles, such as family issues, and that they have an impact on scientific ability to a certain extent, and that at the conclusion of the research, it was determined that a set of proposals and recommendations be made to address the situation of university professors and identify obstacles and their impact on them.
